The Jazz syllabus is created to promote an appreciation and enjoyment of Jazz dance, through both understanding and performances. The vocabulary and technical complexity increase at each successive level and there is a progressive combination of jazz technique and performance/communication skills.

- Gain a good sense of line through body, arms and head.
- Understanding of rhythm and development.
- Appreciation of varying musical styles and their interpretation.
- Encourage an artistic sense of self-expression.
- Encourage creative use of rhythm and movement.
- Appreciation of Tap dance, the history, the pioneers and their works.
Objectives
The syllabus seeks to develop the skill and understanding of Tap dance by developing the physical ability to communicate through movement, sound and rhythm in an expressive and artistic way.
Attire
Any color combination of Leotard, Crop Top or Dance Shorts.
